Desktoplet is a handy utiity for power users that lets you to quickly open desktop items when the desktop itself is covered by other windows.
Do you often work with several applications at the same time, which cover your desktop and force you to minimize all windows whenever you need to open an icon on the desktop?
If you do, you may find that this handy utility will save you quite a few mouse clicks!
You can use Desktoplet to perform the basic operations with its icons just like with the icons on the "real" desktop. You can click on an icon to open the file or folder the icon represents.
If you right-click on the icon, the Windows shortcut menu is displayed, and you can choose the commands from that menu, just like when you right-click on an icon on the main desktop. If you right-click within an empty space of the Desktoplet, the shortcut menu for Display Properties is shown, again, just as if you would have right-clicked on the main desktop.
If you click with the mouse anywhere outside of the Desktoplet window, the Desktoplet disappears and you are back in the application you were working with before. Yes, it's that easy! (Don't you wish all software were that easy to use?)
