Automatically copies your essential documents and other important files and folders to reserve location on the same drive, another drive, or across the network. You set up Tasks that describe the source, the destination, and the backup schedule. SmartBackup monitors the source files for changes or additions and then automatically copies the new or changed files to their designated destinations.
SmartBackup gives you the chance to copy files and folders from one location to another on the same drive, a different drive or across the network.
The program uses the familiar Windows Explorer interface. Task setup dialog box is easy and intuitive, that makes configuration jobs a snap.
Here are some key features of "SmartBackup":
· Illustrative icons added to the Tasks list reflecting a Task's current state;
· New Task option screen - Error Handling - now you can set the time after which the Task's error flag will be reset;
· Now the program offers the option to perform the first run of the newly created Task;
· Now the program understands the "ftp://user:password@server.net:port/directory/" notation;
· Now the program alerts the user if (s)he did not specify Source, Destination, or the correct File Filters
· Added option - Disable index - to disable the internal indexing file (handy in some cases);
· Improved functionality of internal scheduler - fixed an error when the nearest scheduled time got skipped;
· Fixed a bug that caused long lists of File Filters and Groups to get reshuffled on restart;
· Fixed MS Task Scheduler functionality;
· Fixed Task Schortcut functionality;
· Fixed the Test SmartDetect function in Task Properties;
· Fixed Filters Test - the total size is no longer rounded to Megabytes and Gigabytes;
· Fixed a bug that caused errors while editing Task properties with another scheduled Task starting in the background.
