File Rename is an application created to help you rename files quickly.
File Rename is designed to rename files using a number sequence as part of the name. (ex) Photo-01.jpg, Photo-02.jpg, Photo-03.jpg, etc.
Renaming the files manually can be a time consuming task when there are several hundred or even thousands of files to be renamed. File Rename works for all types of files: images, documents, movies, etc.
Here are some key features of "File Rename":
· Rename files in multiple folders or subfolders.
· Move the files to a different folder as they are being renamed.
· Change file extensions.
· Specify the counters starting value.
· Specify the number of digits for the counter. The application will add the correct about of zeros to the counter until the number of digits is reached. If the counter = 9 and the digits = 3 then the file names would look like 009, 010, 011
Limitations:
· The shareware version of File Rename is limited to renaming up to 50 files at a time
