Alarm is a reminder program which can alert you to appointments, scheduled broadcasts, birthdays, or whatever you need a reminder for.
Alarm is actually a program that attempts to emulate an alarm clock with a little more functionality.
You can set four types of alarm; a date alarm that triggers on a certain date in the year, a daily alarm that triggers at a certain time of the day, every day, a weekly alarm that triggers once a week and an annual alarm that triggers once every year.
Two time systems are supported; your local time (the time where you are in the world) and Universal Co-ordinated Time, or what’s known as GMT to most people (the time at Greenwich in the UK.)
The Alarm program must be active at the time an alarm is due to trigger, if it isn't, you won't be notified.
